Dear Madam/Sir,
My name is xxxxxx xxx xxxxx, I'm a xx year old female residing in the Netherlands, Europe and I am a fan of Michael Jackson. My motive is sincere and this letter is written straight from my heart.
Once you have finished reading this letter, I respectfully ask that you consider the challenge proposed at the end.
More than four years ago Michael Jackson was acquitted of all 14 charges brought against him after being accused of child molestation. A filmmaker named Larry Nimmer, filmed the Neverland Valley Ranch and spent two days on the witness stand narrating the footage for the jurors who weren't allowed by the judge to visit Neverland in person. As a result of the filming, Larry Nimmer has created a documentary called "The Untold Story of Neverland", which was completed shortly after Michael Jackson's death, thus unfortunately he was never able to see the finished product.
In this documentary Mr. Nimmer shares with the viewer many aspects of Neverland. Some of the things he shares are the rooms at Neverland, the staff, a memo board with a message from Paris "I love you daddy, get well soon, Paris", the statues and mannequins, the rides, the well-cared for animals, beautiful nature scenery, the police interview with Gavin Arviso, outtakes from the Martin Bashir documentary "Living with Michael Jackson", the raid of Neverland conducted by then D.A. Tom Sneddon and more than 70 officers, the rebuttal video made by the Arvisos after the disastrous Bashir documentary, Paul Rodriguez the jury foreman in the 2005 trial and Thomas Mesereau who was Michael Jackson's lead attorney give their perspective on things. The video ends with images of the letters, flowers and candles left at the Hollywood walk of fame, at the Encino compound, the Holmby Hills Mansion, and the memorial at the Staples Center with the short speech by Paris Jackson.
Some highlights:
Michael Jackson explained why he had so many statues and mannequins in the outtakes of the Bashir documentary: "The mannequins are everywhere so I don't feel so lonely. I was so lonely, so painfully lonely. I used to walk the streets just looking for someone to be friends with but I would end up back home, still alone."
In the rebuttal video Janet Arviso suggests that they "do the part where they (Gavin and Michael) held hands, like a mother and son do, or a father and son and they made it seem like something dirty". Then she is very surprised to learn that the camera is already rolling. Later the Arvisos' claimed that they were forced to film the rebuttal video and to say these things, when it is obvious from the footage that this is most unlikely.
The reason for sending you this letter is that I want ask you to show this documentary on national television so a large, general public can view this documentary and form their own opinions based on facts.
Larry Nimmer has his own website http://www.nimmer.net. He had initially explained that he wasn't so sure that Michael Jackson was innocent, after all "where there is smoke, there is fire"; however, at the end of the documentary he has made up his mind and is careful not to bring false sentiments into the documentary.

I respectfully challenge you to be the first TV network to present all facets of Michael Jackson's life, including the positive aspects and positive documentaries that show what kind of a man Michael Jackson really was. This includes not only his musical genius and contributions, but also his philanthropic and humanitarian contributions. I use the word "challenge" because in most cases the media coverage of Michael Jackson has been negative. Although Michael Jackson has made many positive contributions; musically, humanitarian and philanthropic, the media has all but ignored them and reported the sensationalistic and inaccurate stories.
This is a documentary that should be seen by the general public. During the films recent debut at the Santa Barbara International Film festival, many of the viewers have stated they feel the documentary should be seen by a wider audience. You will see these statements in one of the YouTube video links referenced above. If you should choose to air this documentary, it will be sincerely appreciated and you will be thanked by millions of Michael Jackson fans around the world.

I recently saw the viewers reactions to the showing of "The Untold Story of Neverland" and it was truly heartwarming to hear these people's reactions. People who had been sceptic of Michael Jackson's innocence due to the one-sided report that they have been fed by the general media.
I have seen your documentary on youtube and I passionately wish that a larger audience could see your film so people can learn the true character of Michael Jackson, a wonderful man, artist, entertainer and father.
I wish though that the documentary would also become available as a Region 2 DVD since I'm located in Europe. Do you know if that will happen anytime soon ?

Elmira… thanks for your nice words… if you order from Europe, you automatically get sent a Region 2 DVD (PAL). Also, I’m waiting to hear from the Jackson Estate whether they will give me permission to have it broadcast.
