There were 2 versions of this video: Blood on the Dancefloor. The common one that is shown and then a more explicit one that Sony decided to pull because it was very sexual. I think it may have been shown in Europe once or twice then replaced by the more tame one.
Paterson recorded an unreleased, alternate version of the music video, shot with an 8 mm camera. Writer David Noh, described it as, "grainy, overexposed, and sexy as shit" (January 26, 2006). According to Paterson, "Michael loved it, but Sony hated it and refused to release it".
