When the 11S attacks happened Michael was in NYC after performing 2 concerts. He left Manhattan, but knowing that fans from all around the world travelled to NYC for his shows he kept sending his staff every day to check that the fans that kept gathering at his hotel were OK. Several days later he sent his tour bus, collected the fans and took them out of Manhattan for lunch and to the movies. That's what made him different.
11.11.2011 marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11. In the upcoming week we will remember 9/11 with a special focus on Michael’s work for the victims and their families after this act of war. 9/11 also brought something good, it united people. An important message from Michael to his fans and the world: “United We Stand”.
